SENTENCE FOR FORGERY. By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, Saturday. Frederick Bailey Muir, who had served in the South African war, was to-day sentenced to six months' imprisonment on four charges of forgery. AUCKLAND SESSIONS. Auckland, Saturday. Frank Mitchell, 21 years of age, who is already undergoing a term of two months' imprisonment for stealing a saddle and bridle, was further sentenced at the Supreme Court, by Mr. Justice Sim, to a period of three months' imprisonment for horse stealing. George William McDonald, a young man who escaped from custody at Waiotapu prison camp, while undergoing five years' reformative treatment, was sentenced to a further term of six months' imprisonment.
