I Wheat is dull; 39s 3d is asked for an Australian January-February shipment, and 39s for a February-March/ shipment. Copra is quiet. South Sea bags, Oc-tober-November shipment, £25 15s; June-Oetober-November shipments, £25 17s 6d. Hemp is firm. Januarv-March shipments, £34. Cotton.—October-November shipments G.lOOd. ; Rubber, 4s 5%d. Received 28, 12.20 a.m. London. October 27. The wheat and flour afloat for the United Kingdom is 2,285,000 quarters, for the Continent 2,350,000, Atlantic shipments 590,000 quarters. Pacific 40,000 quarters, Argentina 30,000 quarters, Russian 415,000 quarters, Danubian 90,000 quarters, Indian 107.000 quarters, Australasian 77,001) quarters.
Messrs. Dalgety and Co., Ltd., have received the following cablegram from their London office, dated.October 24: — Frozen Meat: The demand is very poor. Mutton: Prices unchanged. Lamb: Market weak at last nuotation. Beef: Prices are %d per lb lower. Tallow: Since our ( last cable, medium and inferior deserip-j tions are 9d per cwt lower. For other descriptions, any change in price is in favor of' buyers. The demand is limited.
