GOLF.
TARAHUA CLUB.. The Tarahua Club celebrated the wind-ing-up of the season by holding a social gathering at Messrs. May and Arrowsmith's rooms last evening. There was a good attendance, and the President (Mr. T. C. List) occupied: the chair. An excellent musical programme w»f submitted, the followingMesdames T. C. List and C. M. Hill, Misbps White, Gideon, N. Collis, and Messrs W. H. Broome, C. M. Hill' and J". Sinclair. Prizes were presented' as follows Ladies, Miss F .Putt (2), Miss Hammand, Mrs. Geo. List, Miss Somervell (2), Mim Stoddart, Miss Gilbert (2), Miss White, Miss Collis (2), Miss Furlong (2), Mist Treeby, Mrs. Cooke, Miss E: C. Putt, aid Miss Warren. Gentlemen, Geo. Grey, G. Chong (3), W. G. Douglas, L. Kinfu R. H. Baily, W. H. Broome (2), J. I. Avery (2). In the course of his remarks, th* Chairman referred to the progress of thfr Club, its present satisfactory position and future prospects, concluding by expressing thanks to the ladies for dispensing afternoon tea during the se&soa, to Mrs. Berridge for help, and to the ground committee for their efforts, aat particularly those of Mr. Broome.
