The following is the High Commissioner's cablegram under date London, October 22. Quotations, unless otherwise specified, are average market prices on spot. Eggs.—The market is quiet. Trices are slightly weaker, owing to a large supply. TlJere is fair demand for cheaper sorts. Per 120: Home, 13s to 14s (id; Italian, lis to 12s 9d; Hungarian, 8s fid to 10s 0d; Russian, 8s fld to 10s; French, 15s 'to His; Dutch, 13s Cd to 15s; Danish, 10s 6d to 12s. Poultry.—The market is firm, and there is a good demand.
Chickens.—Home, 9d to 10d. Turkeys.—Home, 9y,d to 10% d. Bacon.'—The market is quieter. Prices arc firm on account of the small supply of all descriptions. Irish 70s to 83s, Danish 74s to 83s, Swedish 74s to Sis, Russian 70s to 70s, Canadian 74s to 78s.
Hams.—The market is firm. American 60s to 725, Irish 84s to IOGs, Canadian 70s to 755; English 92s to 108s.
