CHARGE OF MURDER.
AGAINST A BURGLAR. By Cable —Press Association—Copyright. London, October 22. John Williams lias been remanded at Eastbourne on a charge of murdering Inspector Walls, at Countess Sztaray's house a fortnight ago. when the inspector was summoned to the house to arrest burglars. The evidence is based on the discovery of a hat alleged to belong to Williams, also a revolver he was seen to bury on the beach, and also his flight to London. The chief witness is Florence Seymour, with whom Williams cohabited. She testified that on the night of the tragedy she carried a parcel containing a rope and a hook. Williams left her for half an hour, and when he returned he was hatless. He bade her throw the parcel on the beach.
