The American gunboat Nashville is ashore off the West Virginia coast, laden with stores and ammunition for the warships in Mexican waters. FEDERALS OCCUPY VERA CRUZ. Received 23, 9.15 p.m. Mexico City, October 23. The Government announces that the Federal troops have occupied a portion of Vera Cruz. A truce has been signed for twenty-four hours.
