Perkins, examined by the Senate Investigating Committee, denied the existence of a huge fund to finance Roosevelt's pre-Convention campaign. The Harvester Trust and Steel Trust did not contribute a single £ent towards the fund. The situation in Cuba is causing concern. With the Presidential election pending there is great excitement throughout the island.
