THE'WELLINGTON MEETING. ) By Telegraph—Press Association. 1 ast Night. _ The executive of the Wellington Rifle Association decided to-night on a programme for a New Year's meeting to be held at Trontham on .'January 1 and 2. The biggest prize list ever attempted for local shooting has been drawn up, £3OO in cash prizes being of- , fered. Six matches will be fired, each ' with 37-prize- of £35 call value, one match for ten shots at 301), 500. (iOO. SOO and 900 yards, and one at a thousand yards. In the championship aggregate £ls will be given, the first prize being £ls, the second £lO, and third £5. There will be a teams match for senior and junior teams and special matches for senior cadets. Numerous trophies 'have , been promised. Entries are expected from all parts of New Zealand.

THURSDAY'S PROGRAMME. On Thursday a match will be fired on the Rewa Rewa range between the A Team from the B Company Territorials and the B Team from the Rifle Club, over ranges of .300, 500, and 800 yards. The following will represent the Rifle Club: —Riflemen J. Riddles, T. Marett, B. Goodacre, W. Keating, W. Beadle, G. Blanchard, J. Lobb. and IT. Hill. Emergencies: Riflemen McWhirter, G. Gibson, and J. Kurta.
