Banehu, a keeper of military carrier pigeons, has been sentenced to eight years' penal servitude for supplying France with information regarding Metz. Johann Berger, his brother-in-law, a fortification clerk, and Thiebaut, a stone maßon, were sentenced to six years" imprisonment each. All were employed in the Metz fortress works.
