The following weather summary and forecast was issued by the Meteorological Office at 5 p.m.:—-Summary: The winds changed from westerly to southerly in most .parts of the country on Sunday anorning, and the barometer has risen since in all parts of the Dominion. Changeable weather, with heavy showers,, has been experienced, but with considerable improvement to-day. Forecast: Present indications are ror moderate to strong westerly winds, with a southerly tendency, and fair to cloudy weather generally,, but squalls and changeable conditions are probable about Foveaux Strait. The barometer has a rising tendency e\ery where, but is unsteady in the southern districts.
