THE REEFTOX DISPUTE. • By Telegraph—Press Association. Reefton, Friday. The Concilliation Council sat two days considering the Reefton mining dispute, and concluded the sitting last night at ten o'clock. Several possible solutions of the dispute were discussed without any definite settlement being arrived at. It was. finally resolved by the parties to confer with the parent organisations, the Federation of Labor and the Mine Owners' Association, which will need to be consulted before any further developments can be expected. POSITION AT HUNTLY. Huntly, Friday. The following notice has been posted on the Miners' Union office:— "The executive of the Waikato Miners' Union cannot see its way clear to grant permission to any of its members to accept employment of any kind, from any employer, until further notice." It contradicts the statement that the Federation of Labour does not approve of the action of the Huntly miners. Official information has been received from the, Federation that the position at Huntly has not yet been fully considered.
