CONFERENCE OF BOOT .MANUFACTURERS. By Telegraph—Press Assoeiition. Christchureii, Last Night. A communication has been received from Mr. Fisher. Minister of Customs, by Mr. G. R. Whiting, secretary of tlie New Zealand Bootmaker*' Federation, asking the Federation to elect three representatives to attend a conference of boot manufacturers, boot importers, boot retailers and boot operatives, for the purpose of discussing tlie boot and shoe industry. Tlie date of the conference, which will 'be (held in the Tecess, has not yet been arranged, and depends on how long the session will last.
