NO APPREHENSION FELT. By Oable—Press Association—Copyright. New York, October 16. Extraordinary precautions- are being taken to protect Mr. Taft everywhere. The secret service squad has been doubled, and a large force of police were outside the theatre when Mr. Taft visited it. Mrs. Roosevelt and other members of the family have arrived at Chicago. Mr. Roosevelt's condition is satisfactory, and no apprehension is felt. A BROKEN RIB. Received 17, f1.30 p.m. New York, October 16. Mr. Roosevelt's recovery is certain, unless complications set in. The bullet fractured a rib.
