Melboure, October 15. Arnst intorviewed, said he was over 16st. when he reached London on April 27, although he had not been idle on shipboard. He started training immediately, and got down to 13st 61b in ten weeks l>y <lint of hard work. Within two weeks of the race he found himself, fitter his general midday meal, suffering pains and vomiting. This was followed by dysentery. When he shook this off he was weak and had lost weight.
