The Flora, with 312 tons of general cargo, arrived from southern ports yes-! tcrday morning. She sailed for the West I Coast after discharging. THE RARAWA. The Rarawa brought OS tons of cargo from Onehunga yesterday morning, including 18 tons manure, 17 tons cement, 10 tons sugar, 3 tons flour and a quantity of fruit, in addition to a horse and •2700 ft of timber. THE HAUPIRI. The Haupiri was expected to leave Wellington yesterday afternoon for New Plymouth; via Picton and Nelson, and is due here on Friday. THE MOA. The Moa is expected here about Friday with another full load of coal. She is to bring a still further load of coal from the West Coast port next week.

Niagara, built to the order of the Union i Steamship Company of New Zealand, j Ltd., for the Canadian-Australasian Royal Mail Line 'by Messrs John Brown, Ltd., Clydebank, to the highest class at: Lloyd's, was successfully launched on August 17 (says a Home correspondent). This handsome vessel, the largest and finest of the fleet, will take up the company's service between Australasia and .Vancouver about April of next year. The follbwing are her leading particulars: —Length over all, 543 ft; breadth moulded, G6ft; depth to upper deck, 37ft Gin; depth to boat deck, 04ft; gross tonnage, 13j000 tons. 1
