A MAGNIFICENT PIANO. To-day Mr. Hoffmann will land the most magnificent piano ever imported to Taranaki, in the shape of of a Chippendale Grand Bechstein. The unparalleled popularity which the Bechstein pianos have attained in every civilised country in the whole world, during the lifetime of the head and founder of this firm, is unprecedented in the history of the pianoforte. No more eloquent or convincing fact could be adduced to prove that Mr. Bechstein has understood how to invent and construct pianos that meet to perfection all the demands of tke musical world of modern times. The reputation of sterling merit of the Bechstein piano has gradually spread all over the United Kingdom and the colonies, until now its sale exceeds that of any other maker. The Buehstein factories are sow the most extensive in existence, and the output of pianos by far the largest in the whole world. The verdict of the musical world is thus expressed by the great Rubinstein: "Mr. Bechstein has attained the utmost degree of perfection in the art of instrument making." The best evidence of perfection of the Bechstein is seen in its everlasting durability. Thougih the factory has been in existence for oTer half a century, not one piano (has ever been brought to the maker's notice which could be described as "worn out," a»d they hold undisputed the position of the standard pianofortes of the world. The piano that is being landed to-day will be on view at the British and Continental Piano Company's Warehwuse in Devoa street.
