THE VETERANS.
THE WELLINGTON HOME. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. A meeting of the Board of Governors of the Veterans' Home was held to-day, Lord Islington presiding. The annual report for the year ended June 30 showed that the capital fund had increased from £9040 to £0440. The receipts totalled £137, which is not sufficient to cover expenses. There are 42 veterans in the home. His Excellency the Governor, the Hon. E. Mitchelson and Colonel Collins were re-elected president, treasurer and secretary respectively. The Prime. Minister and Mr. Alfred Kidd (Auckland) were elected to vacancies on the Board.
