ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES
A SUDDEN DEATH. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Kkctahuna, Saturday. A girl, aged eight years, named Cameron, was playing with other children in some trucks in the cattle yards at the railway station yesterday afternoon, when she suddenly cried and asked to be taken 'home. She expired before medical assistance arrived. No bruises were found on her body. She had been in delicate health.
A BUSHFELLER KILLED. Marton, Saturday. Information was received -'rom Hunte*vilie this morning that Martin Gunderson was killed at Te Kapua yesterday, while bush-felling on Dr. Anson's property. Further particulars are not available.
SUPPOSED LYSOL POISONING. Wellington, Last Night. John Christian, who has been staying at the Imperial Hotel for abont six weeks past, was discovered at 10.66 OS Saturday night lying on the floor of his room, groaning. Medical assistance was called, and after being tjeated he was sent to the hospital. It is supposed to be a case of lysol poisoning. He had been captain of the steamer Kotuku, which was wrecked some time ago.
