WAR IN TRIPOLI.
CONDITIONS OF PEACE. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright. Geneva, October 11. Difficulties have arisen in drafting the peace conditions. The Italians desire a Consul to represent the Turks in Tripoli, but the Turks require an official with ample powers.
A COOL DEMAND. London, October 13, Reuter reports that the hitch in the peace negotiations is due to Turkey desiring that the clauses favorable to her should operate forthwith, and those unfavorable to Turkey await the Ottoman Parliament's ratification.
THE OUCHY CONFERENCE. Received 13, 5.5 p.m. Constantinople, October 13. The conference of Italian and Turkish Ministers at Ouehv has ended. It is reported that there is still a very slender tie that may hold. It is deemed here that the hitch is serious. A DEMAND FOR PEACE. Received 13; 5.5 p.m. Rome, October 12.
La Tribuna semi-officially announces that Tin-key at the last moment made a new demand for peace which was impossible.
