SUMMARY AND FORECAST.
By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. The following weather summary and forecast was issued by the Meteorological Department at 5 p.m.:—Summary: The weather is unsettled in the northernmost and southernmost districts, but a general improvement has been reported today, with mild and hazy conditions. The •winds have changed to northerly and easterly in most-parts of the country, and the barometer now shows a falling tendency. Forecast: Present indications aTe for increasing northerly winds and a falling barometer everywhere. A change in the weather conditions is probable shortly, the skies clouding over in many parts of the country and rain following later.
