ATTEMPTED SUICIDE; By Telegraph—Press Association. Auckland, Monday. A young Frenchman named St. Mar, who previously complained of 'being hard up, attempted suicide in the bedroom of a hotel. He was found with his braces tied round his neck and suspended from a hai peg. He was cut down little the worse. In the. Police Court he was remanded for a week for medical observation. SERIOUS FOOTBALL ACCIDENT. Auckland, October 0. During a football match at Onehunga yesterday Thos. Langton come into collision with an opponent and collapsed. A doctor found that Langton's spine had been dislocated at the neck, and there was little hope of the player's recovery.
