In addition to the amount p:yd out as above for butter-fat, the sum of £293 17s liad heeu paid as a -dividend on share capital, £309 3s 9d had been written oil' for depreciation, and the balance of £9 7s 3d had been carried forward. It would be necessary to elect two directors in the place of Messrs .Marsh and Rowlands, who retire in rotation, and were eligible for rp-eleetion, and one in place of Mr. M.uridt, who had resigned, owing to removal from the district; also an auditor in place of Mr. Ogier, who again offered hi* services.
OAKURA. The fourteenth annual mooting of tlift Oaktira Dairy Co.. will be held at Onkura on Monday. October 21. The annual report to l)o siihmittcd states that the quantity of milk received was 4.5)03,714 lbs (an increase of 44,0301bs as compared with last year), and contained 194,25511)9 of butter-fat, from which were manufactured 225.1171i)s o£ butter (100 tons A cwt 3qr. 251b), the over-run being 15.88 per cent. The average teat was 3.88, and the quantity of milk required to make 111) of 'butter was 22.181b. Had it not been for the long continuous spell of bad weather during the spring and summer the company's output would probably have exceeded that of any previous year. The sum of £OOOS 12s lid had been distributed amongst the shareholders, being at an average price of 11.12 d per lb of butter-fat. The sum of £204 (is lid had been written ofT for depreciation, and a balance of £7 15s 3d brought forward. The prospects for next season were very satisfactory. The directors had departed somewhat from the old custom of selling the whole of the Sep-tember-March output, and this year had sold only half the output, the price received being 12y t d per lb, and the other half would be sent Home on open eo»signment. They felt sure the results of this arrangement would prove satisfactory to suppliers. The retiring directors were Messrs A. McHardie and J. J. fiydc, who were eligible for re-election. Mr. 0. T.
