WEATHER.
SUMMARY AND FORECAST. By Telegraph. —Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. The Metorological Office issued the following weather summary and forecast at 5 p.m.:—'Summary: Westerly winds, moderate to strong, have predominated, with gales in parts. Fair to cloudy weather has prevailed on the east coasts of both Islands, but showery on the west coast, and at times in the north. The barometer has been unsteady, with a falling tendency generally. Forecast: Present indications are for misty and cloudy weather, with rain following'generally. The barometer will probably fall everywhere shortly, and northerly and westerly winds increase strong to a gale.
