WOOf, FREIGHTS TO LONDON. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Wednesday. The Post understands that freight rates for wool to London this season have been fixed at %d per pound, practically double last year's rates. The rates for other descriptions of wool will be in proportion.
LONDON WOOL SALES. Messrs Dalgety and Co,, Ltd., Wellington, have received cable advice from their London office, dated September 27, as follows: Wool sales- These continue firm and prices are rather higher. Bradford top quotations for period ending September 27: SO's, 14d (13'/.d); 40V, ]4'/,d (14d): 44's, 15d (14 :, /, d); 4<s's, IGd (15% d); SO's, 18V 3 d (18V|d): fid's,'Sid (20%-d); 58's, 23d (22% d); 00's, common, 20d (25y 2 d); fiO's, super.. 2(i'/,d (2(iV,(l): (!:Vs, 27 1 /.d (27d); 70's, 28s (27% d). The figures 'in parentheses denote the prices ruling at August 30, so it is noticeable there is a rise in all qualities.
