The danger of falls of rock from the cliffs of the Sumner Road were again exemplified to-day, when tram and <road traffic was interrupted for some 'hours by the fall of some hundwds of tons. Fortunately the rock came down early in the morning when no traffic was ■passing.
DUNEDTN PRESBYTERY. Dunedin, Tuesday
The Presbytery to-day decided to petition Parliament to decrease the number of racing clays. The Presbytevy nominated as Moderator of the General Assembly next year, the Rev. W. McCara, of Kaikoura.
