A mysterious tragedy has occurred at Glen Innes. Following shots, a young woman named Florence Donnelly was found in a paddock foaming at the »«mtk, with a bottle of lysol. Near her was a young man named Thompson, who had been shot, sustaining wounds in the head. Both succumbed.

It is stated that the couple were keeping company, and Thompson had transferred his affections from Donnelly, who threatened to shoot him.
