EMPIRE PICTURE PALACE. It is evident that the majority of th* New Plymouth public take little or n» interest in the progress of the district and it%' attractions, or there would havt been a much larger attendance at the benefit for the Mountain Houbc funds last evening. Those in attendance wera certainly treated to a magnificent moving picture entertainment and a delightful musical programme by the Empire orchestra. To-night the management will' screen an entirely new programme, consisting of the latest motion pirtuia successes, the quality of which aan ba gauged Vhen it is known that tha makers include Selig, Lubin, Vitagraph, Gaumont, Kalem, and a number af other popular film producers.
