ENTERTAINMENTS.
EMPIRE PICTURE PALACE.
There was again a good audience tt the Empire last evening to view the second screening of the new programme. It is a particularly fine arrangement of moving pictures, and shows well for the onward and upward progress of the motion picture. The upward progress is well demonstrated by the film of "HydroAeroplane Flights." * This is a practical upward movement in which the audience participate (or fancy so) for some minutes. The photo-plays are all decidedly good and attractive, and it -would be hard to Ringle out any film for special mention with such stars as "Under Mexican Skies," 'TjOvc of an Island Maid," "Indian Mail Robbery," and "A Railroad Engineer." The management are to-night giving a benefit in aid of the funds for the new Mountain House, and those in attendance this evening will 'have a double pleasure, firstly of viewing a most interesting and attractive programme and secondly of assisting in a most deserving fund.
