The Bill embodying concessions concerning meat stuffs will operate retroactively from October 1, and expire in March* 1914. The official note insists that the scarcity is transitory, and no puncturing of the tariff or interference with inspection will be permissible. The newspapers emphasise that the petitions from the great cities demand the admission of frozen beef irgni overseas, especially from Argentine, which remains excluded, and also demand a permanent change in the present system.
ANOTHER CONCESSION.

The Prussian Government has announced important concessions for the importation of Russian and Balkan meatstuffs for large towns, provided they are sold to the consumer at the cheapest rate.
