Cray, will arrive in New Plyniouth to-day from Opunake, and will take up ill.-; new duties a* director of the Teehnieal College, technical orjpiniser and headmaster of the day school to : morrow morning. A Press Association message from London, states that Sir David Burnett hns been chosen Lord Mayor-elect of London. He is a member of the firm of BonsflehL Burnett, and Baddeloy, surveyors, and' is sixty-one years of age. Sir David is one of his Majesty's Lieutenant* of the City of London and lias been an alderman since 1902.
