VICTORIAN AMATEUR CHAMPIONSHIP. By Cable —Press Association—Copyright. Received 30, 12.25 a.m. Melbourne, September 29. Miss Binnie won the play oil' in the tie for the golf championship. Mrs. Fowler, who was suffering from the heat retired.
NEW PLYMOUTH CLUB. The semi-finals of the championship were played on Saturday. The weather conditions were not at all favorable, higli westerly winds with heavy occasion rain squalls, prevailing. P. D. McCord beat 11. H. Ward, 5 up and 4 to play. A Bewley beat W. Bewley, 5 up and 4 to play. The ladies' match for a club presented by Mr. L. C. Simpson has been postponed from Tuesday next to Wednesday, out of respect to the memory of the late Mr. Morshead, who was vice-president of the club.
