DOMINION DAY.
HANDS ACROSS THE SEA. By Cable—Press Association —Copyright. Received 27, 10.15 p.m. Melbourne. September 27. At the Dominion Day dinner, Mr. Fisher, proposing the toast of New Zealand, trusted that the time was not far distant when the people managing the affairs of New Zealand and Australia would come closer together. It was the duty of the two countries that lay in Australasian waters and the South Pacific must come under their protection. What was said regarding New Zealand applied also to Canada.
