> SUMMARY AND FORECAST. By Telegraph—Presa Association. j Wellington. Last Night. The Government Meteorological Department issued the following weather summary and forecast at 5 p.m.:—The winds changed to northerly early on Friday morning in most parts of the country. an(l have increased in force. The barometer has fallen everywhere. Misty and cloudy weather is reported generally, with rain in many parts of the Dominion. Forecast: Present indications are for cloudy and unsettled weather, with rain probable generally, heavy on the east coast of the South Island, and snow on the higher-levels. The barometer will fall a little lower, but is due to rise everywhere «oon. High westerly winds, veering to southerly northward of Cook Strait, and easterly, backing to southerly elsewhere shortly, with colder weather following.
