The Imperial Government having' re ipucsled that eaeh self-governing Doininion .should, appoint a special officer, whose duties should he to prepare statistics and make necessary arrangements ■for evidence to he taken by the Tmper ial Trade Commission and for (he itinerary of the Commissioners, when visiting the Dominion, the New Zealand (lovcrmm'Hl has appointed Malcolm Ross \r be such special officer for New /.calami. The Commission will visit New Zealand early next year, and then proceed to Australia.
