AMERICAN MARINES REPORTED By Cable—Press Association—Copyright. New York, September 25. It is reported that the Nicaraguan insurgents killed 29 United States marines. If it is true, American intervention is certain.
AN OFFICIAL DENIAL. Received 26, 9.30 p.m. Washington, September 25. An official denial of the massacre of the United States marines states that the Department learns that Madero offered au amnesty to all Mexican rebels except Zapatistas. The American Government approves of the amnesty, which is likely to restore peace.
