THE PRICE OF CHEESE.
(To the Editor). Sir, —I notice in your report of yesterday's issue on the discussion Cheese or Butter by the shareholders of the Omata Dairy Company, you have made it appear that I was quoting choose at Is 4d per lb aa being a very low estimate and one which rondo a diffe reive of between £llOO and £I2OO to the Company. This is somewhat incorrect. What I did quote was cheese at Is 2d or 14d per lb, which, perhaps, would account for the error. This would make a difference of exactly £I2OO 10s on last year's butterfat, whereas at Is 4d per lb it would be double that amount (£2s3;])—a statement which is easily substantiated by reference to the Company's balaneosheet.—l am, etc., Y. E. MORRIS.
