: SUMMARY AND FORECAST. By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington. Last Night. The Government Meteorologist issued the following weather summary and forecast at 5 p.m.:—The passage of a westerly low-pressure on Saturday night and Sunday morning was followed by milder conditions on Monday, except in the northern districts, where high westerly winds and squally weather have been experienced. Forecast: Present indications are for strong northerly and westerly .winds, squally at times. Cloudy and unsettled weather is probable generally, with showery conditions. The barometer 15 likely to fall quickly in the south for • short time, for the passage of a small storm area.
