It was generally feared by importer* throughout the, Dominion that as a result of the troubles in Turkey and Tripoli, shipping in the Mediterranean would he affected, and consequently the fruit market of the world, chiefly in regard to dates, currants and sultanas, would suffer, but so far these fears have fortunately not been realised.
