CRUSHED TO DEATH. By Telegraph—Press Association. Dunedin, Last Night. Frank Fox, employed by the Harbor Board), was killed at Pelichet Bay this afternoon. He uvas assisting to place a culvert in position in a ditch across the road on reclaimed ground. The culvert which weighed about a ton was turned over before being lowered, and deceased and several others went round to the other side to put it in position. He must, have got underneath somewhere, for on the culvert being raised a little he was found in a crushed position below. The deceased was a young married man, and resided at North East Valley. A DRUNKARD'S DEATH. InvercargiU, Monday. On Sunday evening the police were informed that a man was lying on the Point Road, Bluff, helplessly drunk. They found him in a serious condition, death occurring before medical aid arrived. Empty brandy and whisky bottles lay beside the body. Papers'found in his possession indicate that the name of deceased was Alexander Lander, and that lie has a friend in New South Wales.

KILLED BY A TRAMCAR. InvercargiU, Monday. Frederick Smith, who fell under a tramcar, died at midnight from shook and loss of blood. He leaves a widow and five children.
