TRIBULATIONS AT GORE. By Telegraph— Press Association. Core, Last Night. Heavy rain started on Saturday at mid-day and continued almost continuously for 30 hours. The Mataura Rner and district streams .overflowed their banks and spread out over a large area of low-lying country. At Mandeville the Wainiea stream spread over a mile of country. As a result a number of sheep were drowned. The Waikaka and Mimiliau streams are in flood. Parts of Wyndham are Hooded, several houses being surrounded by water. The waters are now receding. The rain will delay farming operations and also Bfc injurious to the lambing season.
