General Haig admits that during the army manoeuvres aeroplanes failed to locate a division of 12,000 men and horses, whose march General Grierson started in the darkness and concealed by hugging hedgerows a'.d woods. When the sound of the aeroplanes was heard, the men sought cover.
THE HANSA'S FLIGHT. London, September 20. Aeroplanists at Hendon sttae that the Hansa's flight was merely spectacular. A single aeroplane was able to destroy several Zeppelins.
A DIRIGIBLE DAMAGED. London, September 20. The army dirigible Gamma was returning from the manoeuvres when the engine failed near Devizes. The dirigible fell, but was not wholly wrecked. The crew jumped clear.
AN INJURED AVIATOR. Received 22. 5.5 p.m. Sydney. September 22. The aviator Hart i< regaining his memory. His injuries arc healing.
