The Kaimata Road required patching, watertables on the Ratapiko Road also required attention, and some patching was "ceded.. Forty-two-feet of!)-feet en]verts were needed for « culvert on throad.
' Foreman Williamson reported that the swing bridge on the Bedford Road wa,< undermining considerably. During the month lie had been watertabling, .patching and forming on various roa<k He had 'form ed four chains of the Windsor Road readfor the metal. The Dudley Road, near Jlr. Lroadmores, was in fair order The Egmoiit Road South was getting cut up at the Junction Road end, 'and there was' very little metal to put on. The bridge near Mr. Breretons on the Bedford Road required a great deal of'repairs requiring about 1000 feet of timber and a fair amount of other timber was getting wormy. Tie suggested that a concrete culvert should be substituted or possibly a small bridge, as it carried a lot of water at times. In fact, it would no advisable for member* to inspect the same, as some heavy loads would have to go over it this season, and a cutting would need widening as well. A committee consisting of the whole Board will visit the site and inspect the bridges on Saturday morniiif next The foreman is to be instructed to repair the Upland North Road at once, and also to blind the new metal. GENERAL. The Stratford Countv. Council notified that it had voted £l2 towards the upkeep of the Mangaotea Road. Mr. Alex. Mc. L. Mcßae asked that something should lie done to the Rimu tautika Road. He expected this season to be making butter, and would find it hard to. get along unless something was done. "

The Taranaki County Council notified that a pipe culvert was required at the jmietion of the Durham and .Timetion Roads, estimated cost £lO lfis. and at the junction of the Norfolk and Mountain Roads, estimated cost £:> 3s. The Council van prepared to put them in provided the Hoard would pav half cost. —The Council is to he asked for further information.
It was formally resolved to raise the extra 10 per cent, loan on the Upland North Road.
MV. TT. N. Burrows asked the Board to supply pipes for a culvert for his entrance.—The Board refused the request but will assist in niacins; the pipes in jii'sition; : '?.
