Matthews, Bennett and Co. report that there was a fair yarding of cattle in their Inglewood yards on Wednesday last. Prices were about the same as of late. Weaners (good) £2 14s 6d to £3. ordinary weaners £2 5s to £2 12s, springing heifers £5 to £!) 2s Gd, store cows £2 10s to £4, springing cows £4 to £8 2s Od, empty heifers £3 lGs to £4 lGs. ADDING TON MARKET. At Addington there were moderate entries of stock and a fair attendance. Fat cattle sold well, there being a rise in cow beef. Store sheep showed no change. The f:vt lambs and fat sheep market opened at an advance. Fat pigs sold irregularly. There was a keen demand for store cattle at higher rates. •Store sheep—Wethers lfls to 19s Gd, merino wethers 12s 7d to 15s, wether hoggets 12s 3d to los, extra to lGs 3d, hoggets (mixed sexes) lGs 4d, black hoggets 13s 9(1, ewe hoggets 14s 7d to 15s, , ewes 20s Gd. Store cattle—Yearlings realised up to 325. fifteen to eighteen-months sorts £2 Is, two-year steers £5 ss, two-year, heifers £4 17s Gd to £4 19s, three-year heifers £6 17s Gd, cows £1 15s to £6. Pigs—Choppers realised from £3 10s to £5 ss, heavy baconers Cos to 725, ■lighter pigs 50s to 57s Gd (equal to per lb). Heavy porkers brought from 41s to 455, lighter sorts 35s to 40s (equal to sVid to 5%d, and in a few cases Gd per lb). Store pigs met with good demand, large sorts making 40s to 455, medium 30s to 38s, smaller 18s to 255, weaners 14s Gd to 20s. WANGANUI. Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report— At our Wanganui sale we yarded 550 cattle and 700 sheep, and have to report a good clearance. 'Cattle were in good demand, and. with the exception of one or two odd lots, all lines changed hands under the hammer. Hoggets 15s 6d to 10s, three-year bullocks £f>, two-year steers' £2 15s to £4 3s, yearlings £2 5s Od to £3 7s Gd, heifers £3 13s Gd to £4 Is, store cows £3 lGs Gd, culls 335, milk cows £4 6s to £6 10s. i JOHKSONVILLE. Messrs Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report on their Johnsonville sale as follows:—A good yarding of prime bullocks' and sheep came forward, and sold readily nt ruling rates. Prime heavy bullocks £l2 '2s Gd to £l2 ss, prime bullocks £lO 5s to £lO 12s 6d, vealers 38s, prime heavy wethers 24s Gd to 2Gs Id, prime wethers 22s Gd to 23s 9d, light wethers 20s -fid, prime.ewes 20s 9d, ,light ewes 19s Gd, prime spring lambs 16s 9d to 17s lOd.
