A DISHONEST PORTER,
By Telegraph—Press Association. Rotorua, Last Night. Albert Saunders, railway porter, was to-day fined £5 for the theft of a lady's handbag from a railway carriage at Rotorua station.
THE STAR 0¥ CANADA. Cisborne, Last Night. The Star of Canada now lies abandoned and alone on the rocks. Practic.ally everything moveable lias been brought ashore. Possibly further salvage work will be undertaken on the hull as the salvage gang left one winch (useless without imported steam) and a derrick on board.
