NAPIER SESSIONS.

By Telegraph—Press Association. Napier, September 20. In the Supreme Court, Charles Ellison was sentenced to five years' imprisonment for carnal knowledge at Waipawa. Napier, Last Night. The criminal sessions of the Supreme Court concluded to-day. Edward James Harmer, convicted of breaking and entering and theft from a storeroom at the Wairoa Hotel, had sentence deferred until the morning. Two young Maoris, Reuben Pulia and Wuakf Hohepa, were found guilty, with a recommendation to mercy, on a. charge of sheep-stealing. Accused were admitted to three years' probation, and ordered to pay £lO 10s each, costs of the prosecution, and allowed three months in which to pay.
