The Telegraph Department denies that the Hobart wireless station is ineffeci tive. The Melbourne station declares -.' that Hobart has no difficulty in communicating with them and they have no difficulty in speaking to Hobart. Mel- - bourne says also that it has heard IIo- ; bart speaking to vessels at the Bluff, and points out that, despite atmospheric disturbances, Hobart communicates with the Macquaries nightly.
