Birkdale was scratched for the New Zealand Cup at 3.40 this afternoon. A DISQUALIFICATION UPHELD. Dunedin, Last Night. The District Committee of the Dunedin Jockey Club met to-night to consider the recommendation of the appeal judges in the Beiranven case. After hearing the evidence of Harding and three or four other withnesses, the Committee adopted the recommendation o! the appeal 'judges'and disqualified Harding for five years.
