FOOTBALL.

TARANAKI v. MANAWATU. To-day the Taranaki representatives will don the jersey for the last occasion this season, when they will meet the representatives of Manawatu. The weather at the time of writing looks like behaving itself for once, and if so there should be a good attendance at the match, which will commence at 3.15 p.m. in order to enable country enthusiasts, who will arrive by the 3 p.m., train, to witness the commencement. Excursion fares have been arranged, and the return train has been delayed to leave New Plymouth at 5.32 p.m. The Manawatu team, who are under the management of Mr. Jacobs, arrived by the mail train last night. They were met by Messrs. McLeod (chairman) and Garcia, member of the Taranaki Rugby Union, and several ffaranaki representatives. During their stay they will put up at the Imperial Hotel. The teams are as follows: MANAWATU (green and white). Low Eglinton Bennett Mair Ford (capt.), Waldegravo f Kerr Walsh (wing), Ilicks, Simeon, Franre, Harkness, Hardie, J. Brown and Hope.
