THE HUNT RACES. The annual fixture of, the North Taranaki Hunt Club will take place on the New Plymouth Racecourse to-day, and, judging by the interest that is being displayed, the meeting should be the most successful ever held under the auspices of the club. The entries constitute a record, and as there is a very keen rivalry amongst the members, the fields for each event should be good. As these meetings are for the encouragement of the breeding of the class of horses that the country requires, aid are of a purely amateur nature, the stakes consisting of trophies, it is to be hoped that the public will show its appreciation by attending in large numbers. The first race starts at 1 p.m.
