THE BUTTER MARKET.
HEAVY SUPPLIES. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Auckland, Last Night. A total of 400 boxes, equivalent to 100 tons, of butter is to be shipped from Auckland by the steamer Turakina, which sails for London, via Wellington on Friday. This will be the lirst shipment of new sesteon's butter. Had space been available the shipment would have been much larger, but the demand for cargo room has had the ell'ect of shutting out from this shipment between 300 and -100 boxes. The first shipment last season totalled only 2.">B.'i boxes (12!) 1) cwt.). A regular supply of butter is now coming in last, and with the amount held over after Friday's shipment a very larue quantity will be available, for the next, • exportation. This will be sent by the I'orinthie. which is to sail from Wellington on October and in order to connect with the steamer ,butter wilt be shipped coastwise at Auckland on September 28.
